Good morning everyone,

I hope you're staying well at home and keeping a positive outlook on life!

I've been fortunate to be able to spend lots of time pondering over painting and creating. Sometimes it's tough staying motivated I must admit. I find my underlying mood creeping into my work. I'm trying to let what comes out onto the canvas become a clear reflection of how I'm feeling and to just let it be.

In my recent painting " Oblivious Optimism",  the mood I'm feeling is evident in the background and throughout the textures placed on the gnarly old willow tree. Notice the happiness you felt when you saw the Red breast of the Mother Robin, the warmth of her nest and those amazing Blue eggs!

We don't need to feel despair, only hope! If God will see to the needs of a robin, of course he will look after all of us!

"The Pathway to Lavender"

Because so many have enjoyed my River Birch series, I have created another one.

This newest painting is a scene of beautiful river birches inspired by the grove across the road from my home. The eye is softly led to an area of subtle wild blue lavender, bringing you a sense of peace and tranquility.

This painting shows my longing for a happy scene in times of world turmoil due to the Covid 19 Coronavirus outbreak.

Our harvest on the farm is well on it's way. The fields of corn and soybeans have turned a beautiful golden tone. Our sugar maples are simply glorious.

This is one of my most favourite times of the year!

I'm almost finished another painting of our beautiful River Birches right across the road from our home, which I will be posting shortly.

Get out and enjoy this amazing weather!

Cheers,

Fran

Thank you to everyone who purchased a piece of art at my solo exhibition, whether it be greeting cards, a print framed or unframed as well as original paintings and all of the orders that are still coming in.

I appreciate your business so much! I'm overwhelmed and thrilled that my art will be hanging on the walls of your homes. I hope that they evoke a feeling of happiness everyday!

I was also deeply touched by all the young people that came in to see me and talk about art. It gave me a great sense of satisfaction teaching them and knowing that our future is in good hands!

A good selection of my work has been moved to the back wall of River Road Gallery. Below is a photo of what's there, please call me if you'd like to inquire about any painting that is there 519-870-6519  The remaining unsold paintings will be moved to Main Street Parkhill, Ontario at a beautiful Organic General Store called the Currant. Angie, the owner is lovely and will help with any questions that you may have.

Now I'm busy preparing to paint more and restore my inventory!

Cheers,

Fran

I’ve been having the most amazing time during my solo art exhibition at River Road Gallery in Grand Bend!

Opening night was such a success with family, friends and art lovers uniting.

Then came the tornado touchdown on Lake Huron causing one foot of water in our Gallery the next night :(

I did loose some framed prints that were stored on the floor but Luckily most of the all the artists paintings were hung high enough to escape damage!

Tomorrow is already my last day and I will take down my work to let my fellow artist David Bannister set up his solo exhibition.

If you’re planning to come and see me on my last day, I’ll be there from 10am-6:00pm

Cheers, Fran
