Our harvest on the farm is well on it's way. The fields of corn and soybeans have turned a beautiful golden tone. Our sugar maples are simply glorious.

This is one of my most favourite times of the year!

I'm almost finished another painting of our beautiful River Birches right across the road from our home, which I will be posting shortly.

Get out and enjoy this amazing weather!

Cheers,

Fran

Thank you to everyone who purchased a piece of art at my solo exhibition, whether it be greeting cards, a print framed or unframed as well as original paintings and all of the orders that are still coming in.

I appreciate your business so much! I'm overwhelmed and thrilled that my art will be hanging on the walls of your homes. I hope that they evoke a feeling of happiness everyday!

I was also deeply touched by all the young people that came in to see me and talk about art. It gave me a great sense of satisfaction teaching them and knowing that our future is in good hands!

A good selection of my work has been moved to the back wall of River Road Gallery. Below is a photo of what's there, please call me if you'd like to inquire about any painting that is there 519-870-6519  The remaining unsold paintings will be moved to Main Street Parkhill, Ontario at a beautiful Organic General Store called the Currant. Angie, the owner is lovely and will help with any questions that you may have.

Now I'm busy preparing to paint more and restore my inventory!

Cheers,

Fran

I’ve been having the most amazing time during my solo art exhibition at River Road Gallery in Grand Bend!

Opening night was such a success with family, friends and art lovers uniting.

Then came the tornado touchdown on Lake Huron causing one foot of water in our Gallery the next night :(

I did loose some framed prints that were stored on the floor but Luckily most of the all the artists paintings were hung high enough to escape damage!

Tomorrow is already my last day and I will take down my work to let my fellow artist David Bannister set up his solo exhibition.

If you’re planning to come and see me on my last day, I’ll be there from 10am-6:00pm

Cheers, Fran

Good Morning, It's a dreary rainy day today. Time for some indoor activities ;)

If you're out and about, check out "The Currant" a beautiful old General store in Parkhill Ontario. It is so quaint and interesting and has just recently been restocked with many new paintings from my gallery!

At the moment I'm working on a new painting that will be auctioned off at the 2019 Ausable Bayfield Conservation Dinner. They will showcase a reunion of previous featured artists. This event will take place in Exeter, ON on Thursday, April 11th.

I'm looking forward to seeing you at the 2019 Paint Ontario opening this Friday night, one of the first signs of spring!

Hello Everyone, Spring is in the air...at least for today and tomorrow!

I have something really exciting coming up next month. It's a design talk at the Lambton Heritage Museum in Grand Bend ON. in the afternoon on Saturday April 13th.

I hope you'll join me as will give lots of info, tips and problem solving issues that I have learned throughout my artistic career.

Below is an outline of the talk...it will be fun and interactive...bring a pad of paper and a pen!

I will show you the steps of how to find that perfect subject and give you a checklist of design elements so you can fearlessly create that wonderful piece of art!

After this course, you will unbelievably “see” your new world for the very first time!

Ive been extremely busy and have created two new works!

                                                                "Coming in for the Catch"

During these cold winter months it's nice to stay toasty warm and create works that remind me of our summer months!

 Hello again to everyone,

The spring and summer have flown by and now we're feeling the breezes of winter fast approaching.

I have just recently had the pleasure of hosting a full day painting workshop for a wonderful group of women. As you can see, they did an amazing job, well done ladies!

Along with the knowledge of design elements, each of these ladies came home with a beautiful and personal work of fine art! Most had never painted before and definitely had never had the opportunity to create with professional brushes, paints and an artist level canvas. What a difference quality makes!

Our day was full of laughter and learning and I was happy to share technical advice and pass along artistic tips from my many years of painting experience.

Check out the wonderful comments in my guestbook. I am so thrilled that it was such a pleasurable day out for everyone!

Cheers, and enjoy the sun,

Fran
