"Dew Drops and Moss"

Have you ever noticed this most amazing thing? The beautiful greens of fresh moss growing and meandering throughout the damp woods? I was thrilled to notice that there are tons of tiny moss spores popping up and saying Hello!

Our beautiful and mysterious world has no idea that we are living through a pandemic!

This scene was painted for my Solo exhibition on March 26th at the Ailsa Craig Arts Center.

Design Attributes:

I will focus on mood and distance as an aspect of this design. The harmonious colour scheme was chosen specifically to create a "deep woods" feeling. There is just enough sun peeping through as the overcast sky starts to lighten up. The light was placed directly onto the foreground moss spores and surrounding trees...from there the eye travels throughout the decaying scene into the distance looking for more signs of life.

"Dew Drops and Moss"

This original Acrylic painting measures 15" by 30" by 2". It is painted on a gallery wrapped canvas.
