I pass this interesting tree stump all the time. It calls me in to look into the center and investigate all of it's cracks and crevices. After the storm had passed, it looked particularly majestic soaking up the afternoon sun!
Compositional Atributes:
This is a unique painting full of interesting and surprising details. Notice how the eye is drawn immediately to the beautiful warmth of the decaying tree stump. You can't help but discover all of it's cracks and crevices. The colour combination is muted and filled with emotion as you gaze into the distance. There is a warm colour dominance and the value breakdown is light and mid against dark.
This framed original acrylic measures 24" by 36" and is painted on a 2" wide gallery wrapped canvas.
This original painting recently SOLD to the Community of Parkhill for Dr William Thorpe's retirement. Congratulations Dr Thorpe!
