“ A Canadian Treasure “

Ever since I can remember, I adored beautiful peonies! They are full of life and energy, a true Canadian treasure!

When I was composing this piece, it was cold a snowy. It brought me comfort and anticipation of our coming spring!

With all of the negativity surrounding us after the American election, I felt the need to show Canadian resilience. I painted this delicate bloom with rough and rugged pallet knives, showing the colourful nature of this amazing flower. I’m happy with the result!

This original Acrylic painting measures 11”x 14” x2”. It is painted on a gallery wrapped canvas and is ready to hang. It will be featured at the River Road Arts Fair in Grand Bend ON on June 21st, 2025 and is for sale.
